Boxcar Kids Childcare

YES, before and after school childcare will still be available here at school! Durand Boxcar is now being offered as a collaborative program with the Shiawassee Family YMCA. Before school care will still be available from 6:00-8:30 a.m. and after school from 3:40-6:00 p.m. The Child Enrichment Program will be available at Durand Middle School for 4 Year old Preschool-4th Grade. Bussing from Bertha Neal to Robert Kerr will still bring students to the program who are in the before and after school program. Registration for the “Y Boxcar Program” will be available at both the Robert Kerr and Bertha Neal open house dates.

Program Goals
- Provide a safe nurturing environment
- Provide equipment and materials to meet the developmental needs of all the children in the program
- Respect families and work to create a partnership with parents to provide the best world for their children.
Program Considerations
- Licensed by the State of Michigan
- All staff are background checked
- Staff are Certified by the Red Cross in CPR and First Aid
- Daily Snacks Provided
