School Closed - 01/21 due to the dangerously cold temperatures
Durand Area Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 21st. This decision was not made lightly or without careful consideration. While we want our children in school learning, we have to consider their safety. After reviewing all the relevant weather charts and graphs and taking input from fellow Superintendents from our county and beyond, it was determined that it will be too cold for our students to wait at bus stops or walk to school. Giving advance notice will hopefully help your family plan for childcare if needed. I certainly appreciate your understanding with this matter and please stay safe and warm.
